Saxon Panchik

Saxon Panchik is part of Team MVMNT, and is one of 60 athletes competing in the online CrossFit Games starting September 18, 2020. Saxon came in 9th at the 2019 CrossFit Games and we are excited to see him compete in 2020! We have loved seeing Saxon’s determination and drive towards his goals in CrossFit. Get to know Saxon a little more through the questionnaire he had completed.
WHAT GOT YOU INTO CROSSFIT?
I got into CrossFit actually to use it as a rehab tool. Back when I was 11 years old I was in a hiking accident that took away all contact sports for me and my twin brother. We used this to get back into shape and fell in love with it since then.

WHAT CONTINUES TO MOTIVATE YOU IN YOUR TRAINING?
What motivates me in my training is striving to be the best at anything that I take on. In this case it’s CrossFit and becoming the Fittest Man on Earth.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CROSSFIT BENCHMARK WORKOUT/LIFT?
My favorite benchmark is Randy.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT IN CROSSFIT? AND WHAT WOULD BE YOUR ULTIMATE ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SPORT?
My greatest accomplishment in CrossFit is qualifying for regionals for the first time as well as the CrossFit Games. Those moments show that all the time and work I put in pays off. My ultimate goal is winning The CrossFit Games.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SNACK?
My favorite snack is pizza!
WHEN YOU'RE NOT IN THE GYM, WHERE CAN PEOPLE USUALLY FIND YOU?
I am never not in the gym haha. Owning an affilate and competing that is where I spend pretty much all of my time.
IF YOU WERE ON DEATH ROW, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR LAST MEAL?
A large cheese pizza.
WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU KNOW WILL HELP YOUR PERFORMANCE, BUT HAVEN'T STARTED YET?
Creating a home gym. This would give me more opportunities to train.
WHAT BOOK SHOULD EVERYBODY READ?
WHAT IMPROVEMENTS IN YOUR PERFORMANCE IN THE GYM HAVE YOU NOTICED SINCE STARTING A REGULAR MVMNT PRACTICE?
I have notice a significant improvement in my hip mobility as well as my breathing in workouts.
