Back Pain and Stiffness - Why You May Have It And How To Fix It - Part 3

A major contributing fact to pain is stress. Our bodies internalize stress differently, and when we are not managing our stress effectively, it can put our nervous system into a chronic state of fight or flight. Our nervous system then stays in a sympathetic state which means our body never gets the opportunity to relax. This will affect our breathing pattern and create an increase muscle tone throughout the body (tension in your upper traps/shoulders is a good example of how stress presents itself in the body).
